Since 2008, Dr. Aaron Wohl has been against the abuse of Opioid in his community. Opioid misuse had increased greatly in North Forth, so much so that leaders called for an intervention. Aaron was one of the medical officers that took up the job of advocating for a drug-free community. He crafted and implemented rules to guide the prescription Opioid abuse. His efforts paid off and impacted many lives positively in his community.
His plan to kick against drug abuse worked due to his collaboration with other medical personnel in his field. Their aim was to reduce the number of Opioids prescribed to patients. Aaron further his cause by establishing several relationships with members of the legislative council. He wanted the members to make laws to make an antidote drug more accessible to those who need it. His persistence yielded fruit and the circulation of the drug started in 2015. Then three years later, a different induction medicine was developed and introduced for emergency purposes.
Additionally, Aaron presented a new guideline for inducing emergency patients with Buprenorphine. He then championed more access to Naloxone by patients, all in the same year. Naloxone is an antidote for opioid overdose. All these reduced the reliance of the medical community on Opioid drugs during emergencies. As a result, emergency care for patients improved significantly with little to no adverse effects.
Another contribution of Dr. Aaron to his community is his advocacy for other emergency medical practitioners voices to be heard. Their voices have been suppressed due to management complexities and bureaucracy. But Dr. Aaron ensured their voices were heard.
Dr. Aaron Wohl is an all-round man with different talents and interests. He likes to learn new things, ride motorcycles and boats, build and fly planes, compete in sprints, and snowboard.
