Abbie Stockard is a daughter of Mary Louise Stockard and Lawrence W. Stockard of Vestavia Hills, a suburb of Birmingham, Ala. Raised in a family that places great importance on education and service, Abbie felt a calling to pursue a career in the healthcare field. She is now a student at Auburn University pursuing a nursing degree with plans to specialize in pediatric nurse anaesthesia. Abbie Stockard’s Pageant Journey As Miss America 2025
Her path to Miss America began with her crown as Miss Hoover 2024. In June 2024, she won the title of Miss Alabama 2024, competing with 48 contestants.
The Miss America 2025 pageant featured Abbie besting 51 other state and regional titleholders. Her winning combination of grace, intellect, and gift of gab not only won her the title, but also a college scholarship worth $50,000 that she will use to pursue a nursing degree.

The Miss America 2025
The Miss America 2025 competition was held at the Walt Disney Theater in Orlando, Florida, from December 31, 2024, to January 5, 2025. A total of 52 women from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico competed for the title. Abbie’s performance in the preliminary rounds and her advocacy work earned her a spot among the top 11 finalists.
The Prize and Scholarship
As Miss America 2025, Abbie Stockard received a $50,000 scholarship from the Miss America Scholarship Foundation, thanks to its alliance with the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative. The program seeks to increase women’s heart health awareness and highlight fitness and health activities around the country. Each of the top four finishers was awarded a $10,000 scholarship.

Regardless of the outcome, I want to express my deepest thanks to my friends, family, the amazing Miss Alabama board, and the wonderful people of Alabama for making me feel so appreciated and loved. I hope I’ve made you proud and represented you well,” she added.
During Abbie’s yearlong reign as Miss America, she will have many opportunities to travel around the world to promote her platform. With the scholarship, she intends to continue her education and help improve access to quality healthcare for poorer communities.
