Urvashi Rautela was born on 25th February 1994 in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Her parents are Meera Rautela and Manwar Singh Rautela. For primary education, she went to St. Joseph’s Convent School in Kotdwar while for higher education she enrolled at Gargi College, University of Delhi.
As of July 2024, Urvashi would have turned 30 years old.
In 2012, Urvashi won the I AM She – Miss Universe India competition held in Mumbai where she was crowned by Vasuki Sunkavalli, previous title holder.
But then it was discovered that she wasn’t eligible due to being underage hence her crown was taken away from her. All these were happening when all she required was just a couple of months for her to attain the stipulated age requirement at that time which stood at eighteen.
After this disappointment, Urvashi did not stop trying. In 2015, she again took part and won as Miss Diva – Miss Universe India.
This time around everything went well with no objections made as she walked tactfully representing India at the final stage of the Miss Universe contest.
Noyonita Lodh crowned Urvashi who had won the title of Miss Universe India -2015.
Other winners of Miss Universe, apart from Urvashi Rautela, were Natasha Assadi who became the first runner-up and Naveli Deshmukh who occupied the second runner-up positions.
After finishing her college education at Gargi College, University of Delhi, she opted to go into modeling and acting. She had began modelling at a very young age and had won several beauty pageants including Miss Teen India in 2009 and Miss Tourism Queen of the Year in 2011.
Urvashi debuted as an actress in the Bollywood movie “Singh Saab the Great” which was released in 2013.
This marked her entry into the film industry. Subsequently, she appeared in other movies such as “Sanam Re” (2016), “Great Grand Masti” (2016), “Hate Story 4” (2018) and Pagalpanti (2019).
